The Justice League has a frank talk with Batman
Superman looked at the other heroes assembled in the Hall of Justice — the most powerful forces for good on the planet. “It’s confirmed: We’re dealing with the Dominators,” he announced, “an advanced alien race determined to enslave all of humanity. This is going to be the Justice League’s toughest fight ever. Everyone will have to push themselves to the limits to win this.” First, he turned to the Green Lantern. “You better charge your ring; we’ll need all its power.” Next, he looked at Martian Manhunter. “We’ll need all your martian abilities to beat them.” He next turned to the Flash. “And we’ll need all your speed.” He then looked at Wonder Woman. “And all your goddess-level might.”
“I’m here too!” called out Batman.
Superman looked at Batman with a bit of surprise. “Oh, you’re here, in your… bat costume.”
“Yeah. I somehow missed the call for us all to assemble,” Batman said in his artificially gravelly voice, “but I want to help in this fight.”
“Oh. Great,” Superman stated, faking a smile. “It’s just... you know, the problem here is space aliens with a whole armada of warships, and we don’t want to pull you away from your... um... punching muggers.”
